How To Make Tomato Ketchup | Homemade Ketchup Recipe

As we know very well that tomato ketchup is widely used in almost all kind of snacks and some dishes also. It gives better texture, better test and of better look of course. And undoubtedly it is preferred by all age group people specially kids and it is even quite easy to make in less time.

So shall we start making this delicious ketchup.

 

Tomato Ketchup Recipe

Prep time: 15 minutes | Cook time: 15 minutes | Ready in: 30 minute

Ingredients (requires for Tomato Ketchup)

  • 3 cups chopped and drained fresh tomatoes.
  • 4 cup of Sugar
  • 2 tsp chopped garlic
  • 2 Onion finely chopped
  • 1 or 2 bay leaf
  • 2 to 3 cloves
  • 1 inches of cinnamon
  • ½ tsp ginger powder
  • 1tsp red chilli powder
  • 1tsp black pepper
  • 1tsp black cardamom
  • 1tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black salt
  • 1tsp vinegar

Process of Making Ketchup

#1 Keep pressure cooker on medium flame.

#2 Now roast cinnamon, bay leaf, cloves black paper and black cardamom for 1 or 1 ½ minutes.

#3 Now add chopped tomatoes, ginger, garlic and onion.

#4 Mix them well with the help of spatula and cook for 5 to 6 minutes in medium flame.

#5 Now close the pressure cooker and cook on high flame till 1 whistle and turn off the flame.

#6 Let it cool for some time and then transferee all the substances into a jar.

#7 Grind them with the help of mixer grinder.

#8 Now filter the pulp of tomato and keep aside.

#9 Now cook the pulp on medium flame for about 10 to 12 minutes till it gets thick texture. Don’t forget to stir time to time to avoid stickiness.

#10 Now add sugar in it and cook till it gets totally dissolve.

#11 Now add spices to enhance the taste like red chilli powder, ginger powder, black salt and vinegar.

#12 Make sure your tomato ketchup must turn into well defined better.

#13 Now serve with your favorite dish and enjoy.
