Blackheads also known as comedones usually appear on the surface of your skin, especially the chin, around the nostrils and forehead. They are tiny dark spot. Blackheads appear due to several reasons such as bacteria, oil, and dead skin cells accumulated in skin pores. Beauty experts state that regular clean ups and a disciplined beauty regime are an effective way to get rid of blackheads.

Here are some easy tips to prevent and get rid of blackheads from your face and nose:

Facial Steam

Steam (like facial steam sauna) is one of the effective options to open your pores and remove blackheads. It can also remove whiteheads. Steam your face for about five minutes. Do it for at least five minutes. After you are done, wipe your face gently. Use a blackhead remover to squeeze them out. Don’t apply too much pressure.

Cleansing

Cleansing is another way to remove blackheads. It is good to wash your face with a good cleanser at least two times in a day. Keep oily areas of your face like chin, cheeks and nose oil-free. Always use an oil-free cleanser. You can apply a moisturizer.

Home Face Scrub

Use face scrub regularly. It removes dead skin. When dead skin gets accumulated on your face, it blocks pores, which cause blackheads. Make your own home scrub by using natural products such as almonds, honey, milk or sugar. Rub potato on your face and wash it off with lukewarm water.  It is a great home scrub.

Apply Tomato

Tomatoes contain natural antiseptic properties, which help dry blackheads. You can use it to get rid of blackheads. Take a small tomato. Peel it off. Mash it. Apply over the blackheads before going to bed. Leave the application overnight. Wash your face with clean water in the morning.

Use Honey

Like tomato, honey has also antiseptic properties. It works wonders for both oily skin and blackheads. Apply honey on the affected area like nose, chin or cheek. Leave it for 15 minutes then wash it off.
