People with poor blood circulation have cold feet problem. Your feet get cold when inadequate oxygen and blood supply reach the various cells in the body. When blood circulation improves the problem goes. If you are having cold feet problem, home remedies are the best way to treat it.

Causes of Cold Feet

During Winters, Cold Feet is normal due to cold weather. Sometimes it is due to some medical health condition or anxiety. Some of the following reasons below mention why your feet are cold

  • Peripheral neuropathy or nerve damage:  When nerves in our feet damaged, It stops sending message to spinal cord of our brain thus it cause Nerve Damage or Cold Feet.
  • Diabetes:  Diabetes causes Poor blood circulation that leads to cold feet.
  • Hypothermia: Hypothermia generally Causes when the body loses heat and it could cause cold feet.

 

Symptoms of Cold Feet

  • Thickened toenails
  • Lack of body hair below the knee
  • Cramping pain in the calves while walking
  • Tingling or burning sensation in your feet
  • Numbness in your feet

Warm oil massage

Oil massage is a simple way to stimulate blood circulation. Warm some coconut, sesame, olive oil or other moisturizing oil for few seconds. Massage gently by pressing with fingers from toe to ankle for 10 minutes.
After the massage, wear cotton socks. Do this regularly at night. If needed, do this during day.

Epsom Saltepsom salt benefits

To warm your feet, mix ½ cup of Epsom salt in a small tub filled with warm water. Mix well to dissolve the salt. Soak your feet in it about 15-20 minutes. Follow this twice a week.

Hydrotherapyhydrotheraphy

Hydrotherapy is the use of water like, Fill 2 tubs or basins, one with cold and other with warm water. Sit comfortably. Soak your feet in cold water for 2 minutes. Then, place into warm water for 1 minute. Continue this alternation for 15-20 minutes. Pat dries your legs immediately and cover with warm socks. Repeat this daily until you get relief.

Foot Exercisesfoot exercise

Stand up straight on the tips of toes for a minute. Slowly come down on heels. Repeat the process for 10 minutes regularly.
Rotate each foot clockwise and then anti-clockwise about 10-20 times. Try to walk on your toes then heel for 10-15 minutes. Also, try to pick up any other objects from the floor several times.

Green tea

Green tea improves the function of blood vessel that carries blood through the body. To make green tea, add 1 teaspoon of green tea to a cup of hot water. Cover and stay for 5 minutes. Strain, and then add a little honey and drink. Take 2-3 cups of green tea during the day.

Gingerginger benefits

Boil 1 tablespoon of chopped ginger in 2 cups of water for 10 minutes. Strain and add a little honey to it. Drink it 2-3 times a day. You can also boil a pot of water with some ginger slices. Leave it to cool. Soak your feet in the water for 15 minutes, twice daily.
