Turmeric (Curcuma longa) is a spice, Widely cultivated in Asia, India and China and is used in their dishes to make flavour. Turmeric comes from the plant botanically known as Curcuma longa, and has a tough brown skin and a deep orange flesh. Turmeric has long been used as a powerful anti-inflammatory in both the Chinese and Indian systems of medicine.

In nature Turmeric is found with deep yellow-orange color. so it’s called “Indian Saffron”. Turmeric contains many healthy nutrients such as protein, dietary fiber, niacin, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Vitamin K, potassium, calcium, copper, iron, magnesium and zinc. Due to all these factors, turmeric is often used to treat a wide variety of health conditions.

Curry Powder is the composition of different ingredients spices and it’s main importantly ingredient is Turmeric and which is used to give the characteristic yellow color. It’s useful to add on rice dishes, seafood, mustard and pickles. It is also more widely used as a colourant for textiles and food products.
